ABOUT AL CLAYTON
My name is Al Clayton, I am a local contractor in the community. My goal is to help individuals and families improve their property in the most cost effective manner and still achieve their desire for change.
My years of experience in this industry have shown me the most important part of making a building project or home improvement project successful is communication. Using modern technology to communicate or the good old-fashioned get-together to go over the plan and all the arrangements will be sure we both have a very clear picture of the expectations.
Living and working in Vermont I have developed a strong interest and experience with environmentally friendly, high-energy efficiency building methods. You can rely on me and my handpicked team of contractors for projects that few other independent builders will tackle.

Mindy Britch
Office Manager
Mindy has been our Office Manager for the last year and a half and is really enjoying her role in the company. She has 15+ years as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, mostly in healthcare so this has been a welcome change in culture but a comfortable fit for her skillset. Mindy enjoys working for a small company where everyone has each other’s back and is grateful for the ability to work on the same team as her husband Ben Britch.
Ben Britch
Supervisor and Project Manager
Ben has spent over 20 years setting up modular homes but has the natural ability and knowledge to be a competent carpenter which has been reflected through the numerous projects concurred by this company for the last year and a half. He is a determined overachiever who works hard and sets the pace for our crew in the field. With his passion for Dewalt tools, he’s well equipped for any job site he oversees.

Howard Palmatier
Supervisor and Team Leader
Howard has over 30+ years of experience in the field and is highly recommended when it comes to his custom, detailed, high-end finished wood working skills. He has worked in many mansions and schools throughout his career. He is an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoys wildlife and spending time outdoors.
Gage Horman
Gage Horman is 21 years old and an up-and-coming apprentice who is learning this trade on the job site. He started working in construction in 2023 and so far, really enjoying the hands-on training in the field. He became interested in wood working around age 13 and it set him on the path to being in the construction field. He likes being part of the experience of remodeling homes to make our customers happy and see a dream become a reality.
Nathan Labombard
Nathan Labombard is a journeyman who has been working for the company over the last year but has 20+ years in the trade. He is a competent taper, painter, and tiler who enjoys finish work. He is a devoted single father of a 10-year-old daughter. Nathan enjoys mountain biking, climbing and hiking in his free time.
